Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV), one of the Philippines’ leading conglomerates, is undergoing a bold transformation to become the country’s first “techglomerate.” By integrating AI, data science, and advanced digital tools across its business units, AEV is setting the stage for long-term innovation and sustainability.
To support this shift, AEV engaged Paperspace to co-create a future-ready workspace that empowers teams, enables seamless collaboration, and aligns with their broader innovation agenda. The result is a space that reflects both the company’s ambition and its evolving ways of working.
the challenge
AEV’s vision required a workspace that could do more than just accommodate desks and teams. The challenge was to create an ecosystem that could:
- Support diverse workstyles and department need
- Enable real-time collaboration while maintaining zones for deep, focused work
- Reflect AEV’s identity as a forward-thinking, tech-driven organization
- Incorporate sustainability and technology into the physical environment
- Ground the design in real employee experience—not top-down assumptions

The project began with a Co-Creation Workshop, where employees from multiple departments participated in collaborative exercises to define how they work—and how they want to work. This laid the foundation for a design strategy that was both human-centered and future-ready.
