project summary

Norton Rose Fulbright is a global law firm that provides the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. It has more than 3,700 lawyers and other legal staff based in Europe, the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Africa.

With help from Paperspace, the company was able to:

  • Modernise the look and feel of their office by utilising wider spaces and facilitating a balance between privacy and openness
  • Made improvements to overall work culture by creating avenues for employees to bring out their potential as individual contributors of value

the challenge

Norton Rose Fulbright’s existing office saw a few limitations. Corridors were narrow, there were a lack of collaborative spaces and large-sized meet rooms were underutilized. This created a clinical environment where the team culture was not brought out effectively. The challenge was to balance professionalism in a global, world-class law firm with a sense of belonging and comfort where people can bring their whole self to work, true to vision.

the solution

A semi-open workspace was designed for Norton Rose Fulbright. Restrictive full height walls were replaced with an acoustically treated workspace so that staff were granted privacy while gaining visibility of the workspace. Smaller collaborative spaces were introduced for casual meetings, with a convertible reception area that doubled up as a sizable open area for events, social gatherings, staff activities etc.
