the challenge

As a non-profit initiative established in 1984 to conduct research to inform Thailand’s public policy-making, a refresh to TDRI’s existing office was much needed. The initial private, one-way facing offices needed to be reconceptualized to encourage greater knowledge transfer and collaboration. The challenge was also to create new workspaces that could support their institute’s growth in the long run.

the solution

TDRI’s vision is to improve transparency in the country through anti-corruption, economic and social research. Mirroring this vision, the reception area was revamped to be more open, transparent and airy. The canteen was also transformed into a coworking space with collaborative areas to encourage spontaneous knowledge sharing, which is especially vital for a research institute like TDRI.
