project summary
UBS, a global financial institution, continues to strengthen its presence in the Philippines through the establishment of its new Manila office — a shared workspace that brings together UBS Securities Philippines and Credit Suisse under one roof. This project symbolises more than a physical merger; it reflects the integration of cultures, operations, and shared values as the
two entities move forward as one.

the challenge
The goal was to create a future-ready workplace that fosters collaboration while meeting the rigorous performance standards of a leading global bank. Designed to support a diverse mix of teams, the office had to balance agility, technological resilience, and sustainability.
In line with UBS’s internal benchmarks, the new office adheres to Tier G standards to ensure operational robustness and business continuity. Beyond performance, the project also targets LEED Platinum certification, underscoring UBS’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

the solution
The workplace is designed around an agile and collaborative ecosystem, integrating flexible neighbourhoods and shared spaces that promote interaction across teams. Key features include:
- Collaboration zones and coffee points that encourage informal exchanges and teamwork
- Meeting and focus rooms designed to accommodate various work styles and privacy levels
- Trading room with eight desks configured in diverse Salt and Pepper electrical layouts to support technical adaptability
- Personal lockers and IT-integrated workstations to enhance efficiency and user convenience
The overall design reflects UBS’s global design language while adapting to local context: combining precision, performance, and sophistication to create a workplace where innovation and collaboration thrive.
The new UBS Manila office stands as a symbol of unity and progress, bridging two financial legacies into one future-focused workplace. Thoughtfully designed for flexibility, resilience, and sustainability, it embodies UBS’s continued investment in its people and operations across Asia.
