project summary

VF Corporation is an American global apparel and footwear company, best known for owning a portfolio of some of the world’s most popular brands, such as The North Face, Vans, Timberland, and Dickies. This project aimed to strengthen organisational identity, collaboration amongst employees, and optimising facilities usage following the merger of Hong Kong and Singapore offices into a new workspace.

the challenge

When VF Corporation transitioned into their new purpose-built workplace, they faced the challenge of transforming a diverse group of employees from multiple distinct brands into a unified, collaborative community. Even with the modern, open design of the new space, VF needed to ensure that employees across different business units could break down silos, communicate effectively, and embrace new ways of working together.

the solution

Paperspace Asia partnered with VF Corporation to lead a comprehensive change management and workplace strategy programme, focused on:

  • Visioning & StrategyUser
  • Engagement & Communication
  • Design Implementation

Through this partnership, core issues and gaps affecting collaboration were identified, creating new opportunities to enhance how employees work together across VF’s diverse portfolio of brands. Change workshops played a critical role in building stronger bonds between employees while reinforcing a unified brand identity – fostering a more connected and collaborative culture unique to VF Corporation.

An initiative borne out of the workshops was digital boards for event announcements and daily wins in the lobby, helping bridge communication gaps between business units. This initiative helped create a more inclusive workplace where information flows freely across teams.

The result is a highly engaged workforce empowered to embrace new ways of working and to maximise the potential of their purpose-built workspace – cultivating a vibrant, collaborative, and purpose-driven environment that supports innovation and growth across the company.
