project summary
Wise was looking for a new home due to rapid headcount growth. The goal was to transform an already fitted space into one that would better reflect their brand identity without a full overhaul – reusing existing elements where possible while injecting new energy into the space.
The newly designed 31,800 sqft office is 25% larger than Wise’s previous location, their largest workspace in Singapore yet. The refreshed layout features open-plan work areas with a 40% increase in meeting spaces and 50% more phone booths to better support hybrid collaboration.

the challenge
Moving into an already fitted space, Wise aimed to retain much of the existing infrastructure – such as furniture, lockers, and cabinetry – while transforming the environment into one that distinctly reflected their brand. The design approach focused on seamlessly blending inherited elements with new features and bold brand expressions, ensuring the workspace not only supported future growth but also reflected Wise’s unique identity and culture.

the solution
The new Wise office celebrates regional diversity through the five elements – metal, earth, water, fire, and wood – expressed as distinct zones across the space. Bold brand colours add vibrancy, energy, and purpose, while rich textures and materials create a multi-sensory, tactile experience.
A strong brand presence anchors the Reception Area, where Wise’s signature green meets biophilic touches and playful accent furniture, creating a warm and welcoming first impression.
At the heart of the workspace is the Townhall – a flexible hub that combines the main pantry, operable meeting rooms, and a variety of seating, from booths to lounge areas. The space adapts easily to group sizes and activities, supporting collaboration and spontaneity.
To support a variety of work styles, the layout includes a balanced mix of collaboration zones, quiet areas, and focus rooms. Quiet zones were specifically designed for heads-down work, with sound-absorbing elements and phone booths to minimise distractions.
In the back-of-house pantry, a subtle divider delineates the area from adjacent workstations – preserving spatial continuity while enhancing functionality, allowing users to conveniently access refreshments and transition smoothly back to work.
Meeting rooms feature culturally inspired elements and objects that bring character to the space. By integrating culture-specific textures, patterns, and artefacts, the design offers an immersive environment where borders are reimagined as bridges.
In huddle spaces, acoustic lighting fixtures help absorb sound and improve comfort, while the backs of locker units double as whiteboards – maximising utility without occupying additional space. Lighting was used not only for illumination but as a creative tool to define zones and energise the environment, particularly in the vibrant purple and green collaboration areas.
A dedicated wellness zone supports both mental and physical wellbeing, featuring massage pods, nap rooms, parent facilities, and multi-faith spaces – designed to recharge employees and boost everyday productivity.
More than just a workplace, Wise’s new office is a dynamic ecosystem that celebrates inclusivity, encourages collaboration, and empowers people to work at their best.
